Christmas Decor

Getting our house ready for Christmas doesn't really take all that long, BUT getting it ready does remind us to get ready and anticipate the coming of our Savior!! I am so glad we have a season to celebrate the greatest gift humanity has ever received...JESUS! God came near!

We wait expenctantly for His return too! This is the first Christmas we've had a full size tree! I think it looks so cute!

My friend was in town and told me about the Salvation Army Christmas sale....what a find! This tree was a whoppin...$8.50---prelit no less!!

I love having it plugged in and that you can see it through the window from outside.

JOY TO THE WORLD!

JOY TO THE WORLD!! THE LORD IS COME!!!

There is no better news in all the universe! It has hit me really hard this Christmas time though that this year I have so many new brothers and sisters in Christ from around the WORLD!! Joy really has come to the WORLD.

Gospel for Asia has a great way to share God's love in a practical way. Imagine someone coming and giving a GIFT that would double your income for the year?! That would be HUGE! that is exactly what we can do by picking out one of the items from this year's Christmas catalog. Not only does it help the people not struggle so much, it also points them to Christ. So many have become Believer's in Christ by seeing God's love for them through His Body's generosity.

Please click on http://www.gfa.org/gift/ to be encouraged! You can donate there, watch videos, see pictures and more!!

It's crazy how sharing GOOD NEWS encourages and strengthens your own heart!! I was reminded of this yesterday as I shared with some coworkers. Give it a try!! Share Share Share!!

Cutest Balcony Ever!

One Saturday Wade and I went bought flowers and soil and got our balcony feeling much more homey. I love going out there and seeing the color and cheerfulness they bring!
Angela and I had made a rug for under the kitchen table, but we found that it actually worked better outside and gave our feet somethin nice to rest on! It's our own outdoor room!!
Wade, thanks for being so much fun!!

We have mums, pansies, rosemary and that purple stuff!  :)

Here's some fun pics I took

Trio of Pillows

Right before Thanksgiving I finished up these 3 pillows and sent them home with their new owner. I think they turned out so cute!! I found these great pins that personalized them and added some personality.

These are the first pictures of this pillow I've ever posted.

I love these little pinwheels!

I have more to make....God keeps giving me ideas!! Thanks Lord :)

Happy Birthday Wade!!

Yesterday we celebrated Wade's 26th birthday!!

I just want to take some space here and brag on how wonderful my husband is! He is always there helping me, encouraging me and laughing with me! Helping around the house doesn't put him out. In fact, he's so enthusiastic about getting things done, we have fun! He is a great encourager to me and so many others--always ready to give a kind word. He is so good at taking care of our finances and being generous to those the Lord puts in our lives. I respect him so much. He is the most truthful person I have ever met and I know he always makes decisions with integrity. I trust him completely. I could not have asked for a better friend and helper.

I can't wait to see what the Lord has for Wade in his 26th year of life. I pray he blesses him and draws him closer to Himself.

Make a wish!!

As we get older I think it feels less and less like our birthdays once did....so much excitement! I tried my best to make it feel special though. After we got off work we had pizza, cake and ice cream!!

This was my first time to use this awesome bundt pan!! I call it the "Castle Cake"---ta da!!

YAY for Birthdays!! I love you Wade!

Thankful

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Sloan definitely stole the show! I don't think anyone took many picturews of anyone else besides her, hehe...

I didn't get to see my family in West Texas, but I'm thankful they were able to get together to eat and catch up.

The Lord has so richly blessed us--I couldn't begin to list it all, but we do thank Him--the fount of every blessing.

Yummy fingers!!

This is the first time we've all been together in over a year!!

It finally cooled down enough for Alexis to put Sloan in her warm clothes.

80 Years and beyond

80 years...that's a long time, but I know for her, it's been a blink of an eye. I think I could write a whole book and not run out of things to say about Grandma. She has lived such a beautiful life and touched so many people's hearts. I can only hope that I live a life as full and well as she has and continues to do. I thank the Lord that she is still with us and that I can call her up and hear her laugh...laugh so freely anytime....what a blessing!

I am so glad that we were all able to be together for this wonderful celebration.
Mom did such a good job getting everything together for the party. Grandma had a blast!! Tommy made a great slideshow that we all enjoyed.

These fun pictures give us a glimpse into years past....and they're beautiful.

Here's Grandma opening one of her many gifts. I think her favorite part though was all the cards she received. She called me a couple weeks later and told me the cards were still coming in the mail! I can't wait to read some of the stories myself when we go home at Christmas time.

Dad & Grandma

When Grandma hugs you, you feel it all over and it just makes you feel special and so loved. She is precious.

Ever since I was little, Grandma has always had the coolest shoes!
Too bad her feet a just a tad smaller than mine...

I hope I look as good as Grandma when I'm 80!!

Here's Tommy & Grandma

Happy Birthday Grandma!! I love you!!

Wheel of a Lifetime!

WATCH WHEEL OF FORTUNE FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 26TH!!
(that's when I'll be on the show!!)
This is the only picture of the studio that I have from my Wheel Experience. Wade snapped this picture on their way in and almost wasn't let in because of it!! NO PICTURES were allowed, hope my memory holds well. After the show airs I will share more details!! :)
I haven't been that nervous in a long time...I told the guy that was on the show with me that I should've brought my inhaler, he laughed and said, well...I brought mine b/c I thought I might need it too!
It is definitely a memory of a lifetime and one that I'm so happy I can share with my friends and family.

Here's us tryin to catch our breath before dinner

We went to Santa Monica Pier for dinner.
We had a great seafood, a great view of the ocean and great conversation.

This cool, year round carnival was set right by the water on the pier.
It was great to hear the crashing of the ocean waves again!

Mom & I had to sit on the bench and wait for the bus like Forest. Mom's even got the shoes on!!

So glad Mom and Dad were there with us!
We had fun playing a trivia game with waiter about Forest Gump. They couldn't stump mom!! She loves that show!!

This is my good friend, James. It's funny the people we meet in our lifetimes. So glad we got to see him while we were there. He lives in LA and loves that crazy busy lifestyle. He the massage therapist for the Biggest Loser and may have a part on Glee soon...(not that we even watch that show!!) James also is a partner at one of largest plastic surgery facility in the U.S.! Can you tell all the work he's had done??? Just kidding...he hasn't had any work done, lol.

Texas Triangle

This is the first pillow I've finished since moving back to Texas. It's only fitting that it was made for one of the biggest "Texas" fans I kinow--both of the state and the university!! It's always fun to see how they turn out!
