"Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains, for they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High. So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help. THEN they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and HE SAVED THEM from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the desspest gloom and BROKE AWAY THEIR CHAINS. Let them gives thanks to the Lord for his UNFAILING love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron." Psalm 107:10-16
This past Saturday Wade and I went to the Lincoln, IL prison to be part of Bill Glass' Day of Champions. This is a prison ministry that goes to prisons all over the country telling the Good News of Jesus. I must admit that I was a little hesitant when Wade told me he wanted to be a part of this. He has done prison ministry 3 prior times in Texas. I felt like the women in prison wouldn't accept me and wouldn't think I had a clue what they were going through. I was very suprised then by the warm welcome we received. Many of these people never receive even one visitor, so to have a whole group of women there who were happy to see them and who put a show on for them was a big deal.
There was a woman, Emille, who sang and gave her testimony to the ladies, they really loved the music. Then there was another lady, Tanya, who did her ball handling routine for everyone. She was so cheerful and the radiance of the Lord shown on her face. It was quite amazing because for that time it didn't really feel like we were in prison.
I met several women in the prison who I really believe are Christians. They came to Jesus while in prison and have already been ministering to those around them. At first I wondered if going would really make a difference, but I also know that the only thing that will make a difference in the lives of these women is JESUS. He is our only hope. By the end of the day, everyone was so hot, sweaty and tired, but the Lord was working. I prayed for 3 women to receive Christ!! It is very easy to be skeptical and think, well maybe they really didn't mean it, but the Lord knows the heart. Apart from Jesus' blood covering our sin we are all deserving of death but praise Him that HE made a way for us! So, with some apprehension I went, and the Lord blew me away.
Like Corrie Ten Boom says, we are all prisoners of something. Whatever your prison is, turn it over to Lord, He sets the captives free!! NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE LORD!
"What is impossible with men is possible with God." --Jesus, Luke 18:27

Wedding Momento
I just finished this pillow for a friend of mine. She is giving it as a wedding gift to her cousin. I incorporated the colors from her wedding and her new home. The wedding date is hard to see in the picture, but it is centered at the bottom in gray. It is one of my favorites I've made so far!

Texas...
People ask me a lot, what does it look like where you grew up?? hmm...pretty much like this....
I think there's something really beautiful about it though.
It sure was good to be back in our homeland. The only thing that would've made it better is if Wade could've been there with me. You can't beat the good food and fun times. I had such a great time just hanging out with family and friends and enjoying some great West Texas sunsets.
Always good to have the fam together again. I thank the
Lord for more fun memories together and look
forward to more to come.
So glad I was able to see Grandma every day that i was home.
She came over and whooped us in some dominoes...
she's been practicin though!
My bestfriend, Lindi and me. We have more laughs together!!
We celebrated Christopher's 31st birthday while I was in.
He sure was excited about cake, ice cream and PRESENTS!
Here's me and Gabby
Grandma's roses sure were pretty, always so good to be at her house!
Dad broke one of the UV sensitive lenses, but still had one of his only ones, so he rigged them up...
he was playing pirate right here...lol..har har...
Dad and Tommy had been working at the western wear
store all week, so we stopped in on the way to the airport
and I got a new hat...hehe...mine's a little smaller than this

It's Official: I'm a WHEEL CONTESTANT!!
After a couple weeks of waiting, the suspense is over...I am going to be on Wheel of Fortune!! The letter came in the mail while I was gone to Texas, so Wade called to tell me after he got home from North Carolina! I ran around the house screaming and throwing my hands up, hehe....
They only shoot 4-5 days each month and will let me know 14 days before I am to be in LA for the game. After that they will let us know when it will actually air on TV.
What a journey! Thanks everyone for being excited with me!!

Roughin it and lovin it!
This past weekend we went to Grayling, Michigan with our friends and had a BLAST! The place we stayed did have electricity, but had no running water, no a/c, no bathroom (porty potty only... but at least it was very clean), and cots to sleep on. The perks though...the place is right on the river, they had all the fishing and kayaking gear we needed, campfires every night, and no need to worry about what we looked like!
I think we all look pretty good considering none of us had a bath for almost 4 days!
Sunday we went kayaking and I have to say that's one of the most fun things I've ever done! The river didn't have rapids or anything, it just moved along at a nice pace. We don't have any pictures of us doing that...for fear we might lose a camera in the river...good thing we didn't take one since Wade and I both flipped a couple of times, lol, at least we cooled off and rinsed off a bit...all part of the adventure!
This was our first time to try out fly fishing. Wade caught 2 little rainbow trout and I caught one little one. It's hard to get that line out there just right! Ben has been fly fishing since he was 12 so he was a lot better at the casting part than us! Glad he was there to show us the ropes!
I had to admit this was the first time in my life I've ever prayed for BUGS to come out! I'm usually praying they go away! It was so cool though to see them come and then the fish went crazy! (they didn't want my fly, but they sure did want to live ones!) We stayed out fishing one night until 11:00 pm! I sure thought I was doing good fishiing in the dark! My form was just perfect and I just knew that line was laying out there perfectly....until...I got back in the light only to see I had been fishing with a knot of line right by my fly for who knows how long! hehe...
I am proud to say that none of us got sunburned over the weekend even though we were outside all day each day!
What a great weekend to just be free, play outside, get tired, eat marshmallows and sleep! We were all glad to get back to civilization though and get a nice shower. Lookin forward to our next adventure!
