Texas Triangle

This is the first pillow I've finished since moving back to Texas. It's only fitting that it was made for one of the biggest "Texas" fans I kinow--both of the state and the university!! It's always fun to see how they turn out!

WHEEL TIME!!

HURRAY!!

I just got the call a couple of days ago that I am going to LA to shoot Wheel of Fortune on October 20, 2010!! I ran around squealing with excitement again and calling Wade and my folks! I've started playing Wheel on our ipad app, lots of fun. Mostly though, I've just been dreaming about spinning that wheel and winning it big!! lol...I'll be sure and post the air date when I get back from LA, but my lips are sealed until then...you'll have to watch and see to find out how it goes!!!

Some R&R

We have had this trip planned to Washington since the beginning of the year and have looked forward to it ever since...it lived up to all our expectations!!
We saw such amazing scenery and had days with highs in low 60s and lows in the 40s...nice break from the 98+ degree weather we've seen since moving here, lol!

This was the view from our room! We could see the tide come in and out.

We spent one whole day fishing...and I mean the whole day....10 hours later...this is what we had!

Mine was just a little bigger than Wade's!!

After leaving Union, we went to Port Angeles where we went to Hurricane Ridge. The views from here were just spectacular. The trees spread out like green carpet and the mountains were snow capped.

We were just walking along and Wade stopped, and gave me the shh signal....we saw 5 deer and one little baby fawn! They were too cute!! The way their little hooves allow them to walk on such steep places is really amazing.

We saw a black bear from a distance. We could watch him run along the mountain side, but couldn't see him clearly. It was still neat.

We definitely had to keep our eyes open...thankfully we didn't see a cougar...though he could've been around

Another day we went to the temperate rainforest. I have never seen so much moss and ferns!! The trees rivaled the great Red Woods we saw in Cali on our honey moon.

It felt like we were in one of C.S. Lewis' Narnia books!

This picture kinda helps show how big everything was and how much growth there is! Wade looks tiny!

We thank the Lord for such a good time together and all the fun things we were able to see!!

Sweet Sloan, our beautiful niece!

>

> We were able to go see our niece for the first time last weekend and she is just beautiful!!
> She slept the majority of the time we were there. She loves to sleep with her arms up. Wes and Alexis are doing such a good job with her and they are a great team!

> Wade and I are so blessed that the Lord moved us back just in time for her arrival. I can't wait to see her again and have more pics to post. We just love her! God is so good!

Whew, what a move!

So, the past couple of weeks have been CrAzY! but good. All of our stuff got packed, loaded, moved, unloaded, and unpacked...well that is we think everything, haven't needed anything we couldn't find just yet. There were a few snags along the way but for the most part, not too bad. Just as soon as we got everything unpacked, we both took off again for a week...this is our first day to really be here at our home together.

Hmmm....milestones since I last blogged....

*We moved  :)

I'll post pictures of everything unpacked soon! :)

***Wade and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on 8-9-10!!

Mom & Dad gave us a cake topper that was just like our wedding cake since we didn't get to keep ours from our wedding...yummy...

**My brother graduated from Texas Tech!! Way to go Tommy!

*And...I got to meet Domino!!

He is ALL puppy, just a BIG puppy! But I just love him! Glad I can go to my peaceful home though and leave the shoe and slobber monster in Mom and Dad's backyard, hehe....

The Shaws

Dale Shaw, is one of the coolest persons we have met in Indy and the U.S. in a very long time!
He loves the Lord so much and it spills out onto everyone he meets. I am so thankful for the precious moments we could spend together.

Last night the Shaws took us in for dinner and fellowship. We couldn't have asked for a better way to spend one of our last evenings in Indy. I am not very big on trying new food, hehe, but Dale introduced us to Thai....it was....umm...delicious! I was afraid it might very spicy, but it wasn't. We had chicken and fried rice.

Dale is brave...he wanted us to give him a haircut! I was a little scared, but to my surprise, Wade jumped right in there and started cutting away!! Dale ended up bald....just kidding! the haircut turned out pretty good! We'll always remember that!

We made some memories last night, the guys played ping pong while I admired Sarah's beautiful artwork and projects she had done to their home.

Sarah made some delicious pie with berry's from her back yard!

We ended the night out on the porch and the Lord gave us a beautiful lightening storm to finish it off! The Shaws prayed for us and sent us on our way. We left feeling a little sad that we wouldn't be able to do that again for quite a while, but even more so, we left refreshed by their love. Thank you, Shaws, for the gift you gave us last night.
